Release Notes

What's new in Ping1

Every update to the app and monitoring engine, newest first.

Latest
v1.9.0 August 2026
  • Down/recovery alerts now show exact times — "went down at 14:32", "recovered at 15:10 — was down 38m" — instead of a bare status change
  • New Analytics tab on the monitor detail screen — weekly, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and yearly uptime charts with downtime totals and incident counts
  • Up/down history is now kept for a full year; raw ping-time history is kept for the last month
App
v1.8.1 July 2026
  • Ping1 now tells the two situations apart: if our monitoring service is having trouble, the app shows a clear "under maintenance" message instead of incorrectly flagging every one of your sites as down
  • Added a direct reachability check of Ping1's own infrastructure, so an outage on our end is detected immediately — no false alarms about your websites or servers
App
v1.8.0 July 2026
  • Website monitors now detect real HTTP error codes (404, 403, 500…) instead of only reporting full outages
  • New: detection for suspended hosting accounts and parked domains — catches sites that return "OK" but are actually broken
  • Monitor detail screen shows the exact status code and issue for the latest check
Platform
v1.7.0 July 2026
  • Domain expiry monitoring — Ping1 now tracks domain registration expiry for your website monitors, with a 30-day warning and daily reminders in the final week so you never lose a domain by accident
  • Domain expiry status shown right on the monitor card and detail screen alongside SSL status
  • Admins can now edit monitors directly from the admin portal
App
v1.6.0 June 2026
  • SSL certificate monitoring — see days remaining, expiry date, issuer, and validity for every website you track, with color-coded status
  • SSL data refreshes daily and immediately when a new monitor is added
App
v1.5.0 – v1.5.1 June 2026
  • In-app updates — Ping1 checks for new versions on every launch and prompts you to download and install
  • Admins can mark a release as mandatory when it matters
  • Update downloads are restricted to secure (HTTPS) sources
App
v1.4.0 June 2026
  • Profile photos — pick from gallery or camera, shown as your avatar throughout the app
  • PIN sync across devices, plus a "Forgot PIN?" recovery flow via Google re-verification
App
v1.3.0 June 2026
  • Push notifications — get an instant alert the moment a monitor goes down or recovers
  • Smaller app size — release build cut from ~160 MB to ~22 MB
App
v1.2.0 June 2026
  • Full monitor management — add, edit, and delete IP, website, and IP:Port monitors
  • Real-time dashboard — live status updates on every check cycle
  • PIN and biometric app lock
Platform
v1.0.0 – v1.1.0 June 2026
